Short Films from NYC Chinatown: Art & Activism through Storytelling by: Think!Chinatown

Visiting from NYC, Think!Chinatown brought a selection of their storytelling projects to Toronto. These short films tease out complex stories of immigration journeys, the birth of the Asian American movement, and the everyday lives of Chinatown community members. 

Following the screening, Executive Director of Think!Chinatown, Yin Kong, will discuss how storytelling is an essential part of T!C’s practice in their creative placekeeping work. Conversation will be moderated by Amy Wang of Long Time No See.
